Atlantic Immigration Program

The Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP) is an immigration program that was designed to stimulate economic growth in Canada’s Atlantic provinces by attracting skilled immigrants and their families. The program is intended to fill labor market gaps in the region and allow employers to access a larger pool of skilled workers. The AIP works with employers, communities, and other stakeholders to ensure that immigrants are welcomed into the region and have access to the resources they need for successful settlement.

The Atlantic Immigration Program is a government-sponsored program that provides pathways to permanent residency in the Atlantic provinces of Canada. The four provinces include New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, and Prince Edward Island.

To be eligible for the AIP, you must meet the following requirements:

You should have be suitable work experience, unless you’re a foreign graduate of a recognized postsecondary institution in Atlantic Canada

Must fulfil or surpass the educational requirements

Must fulfil or surpass the language requirements

Prove that you have sufficient funds to support yourself and your family when you get to Canada
